1^st Jul 07

10:00 AM – blore start

12 – srirangapatnam and lunch

14 – chamundi

16 – mysore zoo

19 – mysore palace (late, time to reach was 5 PM)

20:30 – vrindavan gardens + dinner

23 – left mysore

2^nd Jul

2 AM – reached kanakpura Jain temple (out of plan) and night halt

7 AM – started for ooty

13 hrs – lunch + pyakra lake and water fall

16 – ooty lake

17:30 – botanical garden

18:30 – tea factory

22 – left ooty after dinner

3^rd Jul

4 AM – reached Kodaikanal and halted at hotel

9 AM – 4 PM = lake + all view points + lunch

16:30 hrs – left kodai

19:00 – reached Madurai and visited Meenakshi temple

21:00 – dinner

22:00 left Madurai

4^th Jul

2 – reahed rameshwaram + night halt at hotel

8 – temple visit

9 – beach + kund snan

10:30 – lunch and left rameshwaram

11:30 – reached Dhanush Kodhi and rented another vehicle to go inside beach

12:30 – reached at sight

13:30 – started from Dhanush kodhi

14 – reached at a special bridge

20 – lunch and left

5^th Jul

4 – reached Kanyakummari + hotel check in

6 – sunrise

7 – market + temple

8 – beach bath

9 – bac to hotel

10 – lunch

11 – rest

15 – vivekanand rock + temple

17 – wax museum

18 – view tower + snacks

18:30 – sunset @sunset point

19 – Gandhi memorial

20 – dinner

21 – market + hotel rest

6^th Jul

6:30 – left KK

8:30 – suchidram temple

14 – Trivandrum – Padmanabha temple + lunch

15 – Koyamalam beach

17 – Ambalapuzha temple

18 - reached Allepy

18:30 – allepy beach

22 – dinner + hotel for night halt

7^th Jul

8:30 - allepy backwaters through Boat (Shikara)

11 – lunch and left allpey

13:30 – reached cochin

14 - visited cochin museum

16 – cochin - Krishna temple

17 – left cochin

21 – reached munnar

22 – dinner + hotel checkin for night halt

8^th Jul

6 AM – covered Dam + echo point + many view points + waterfalls (left hill top which is a must watch due to time constraintL)

12 – left munnar

15 – lunch on the way

17 – reached guru vayoor temple

20 – left guru vayoor after dinner

9^th Jul

9 AM – blore

9^th Jul was the plan for visiting Wayanad which was on the way and reaching blore by 21 hrs but all of us were very tired so left the plan. L

Members from 1st to 3rd July = 10 (3 days and 2 nights), later journey = 7

Total travel –

2900+ KMs

Total expense –

Taxi (Tempo traveler – 12 seater) - 29000 INR

Others – 15000 INR

Total = 44, 0000 INR approx

What went right –

- Most of the places in plans were covered (except wayanad)

- Booking a big and comfortable vehicle was major advantage which helped a lot in covering so much of journey so fast

What went wrong –

Time management and people management was the big issue…it led to inappropriate travelling (night journeys) + hotel checkin (at wrong times – many a times checked out in just 3-4 hrs). L
